How to be creative?

It was my design college and I was on a presentation. The whole jury had an eye on my arse and they were prowling to find any loose thread to pull off my trouser, and bingo! they got it! I mentioned somewhere, "...this design has been done very creatively..." and after that my presentation had nothing added from my side. The first rocket that was shot on my head was, "What do you call a design?"
"Well a design is a set of patterns, it's a compilation..."
"What sort of patterns? What patterns does a car have which has been DESIGNED?"
"Actually design is not necessarily a pattern but..."
"Ok, leave it. What's creativity?", the second rocket and the fort demolished. Man, I never thought what creativity is. If I go through the definitions provided by Dictionary.com, it says:

1. the state or quality of being creative.
2. the ability to transcend traditional ideas, rules, patterns, relationships, or the like, and to create meaningful new ideas, forms, methods, interpretations, etc.; originality, progressiveness, or imagination: the need for creativity in modern industry; creativity in the performing arts.
3. the process by which one utilizes creative ability: Extensive reading stimulated his creativity.

First one isn't the answer to my question anyways. Second one is far too complicated to understand and after two disappointments, third one isnt a relief at all. It was sure that dictionary is not going to tell me anything convincingly apt about this word as she herself had no idea. After all, in a history of so many centuries, she has been telling people only what she heard from them. When was the last time she did anything creative? So, I spared Mother Dictionary to herself and tried to sort it out on myself.

Through my tenure on designing and acting to be creative, the one thing I learnt for sure was that Creativity is the power that sells. What do I actually mean?? Let's look at it through an example. Suppose I have to sell an underwear. I may do all the brainstorming to find out the most so-called-creative solution to advertise it. I will go about it innovatively. How? May be I make a TV commercial where I show that the elastic of the underwear is so flexible that one can make a catapult to project men from Earth to Moon. But one of my colleagues makes an ad where he portrays that underwear to be very comfortable and durable (a conventional way. huh!). Who would our client prefer to go with? Certainly not me! He knows what his customer wants (no matter even if he actually doesn't, but as long as he is paying, he is right.) He will select that conventional ad of my colleague and may also call it very creative! Consequently, mine will find a way to trash bin.

So, the moral of the story is: A work is creative only when it manages its acceptance. A work most appreciated, most of the times, happens to be least paid. But what's the side effect? It leaves a creative mind exasperated. It's like u were at the end of it but couldn't reach the orgasm. So, what will that creative mind do? Any guesses??

He will make a blog like this and will pour every idea in his mind to relieve himself. If creativity was sex, this is my closet to masturbate. So, yes! This is the place where you will find those sperms which couldn't make their ways to ovum. Whatever u call it. A piece of art or that of shit, you may expect it all here.

One more thing, if you have realized by now that this post doesn't answer the question in the headline, you are right. And if you believe that this post is nothing but a piece of nonsence, you have just proved yourself a genius!!

Second!

Although a few words from the PRATHAM post bounced over my head, I would like to add that Karan and I are going to put our best to grow this prodigy. We will put it in the school of scoundrels and feed it with weed. Well, whatsoever it be, Karan is the man who will take care of words and one may expect some good posts from him. I am the spoiler.

प्रथम

This prodigy was set up on a balmy June afternoon, as the two of us, me and Vayu sat thinking about nothing in particular.

He had just shown me a smack bang blast of a shockwave presentation, that left me speechless. We then proceeded to have an exchange of a literal smogarsbord of conversation that made me realise the worth we were together.. or something on those lines..

What emerges from here, could be things that shape the way we think, or things that think the way we shape them...

Brain and intuitiveness combine, merge and explode in a myriad myth...

Enough of the word play. Enough of prostituting our talent, or our thoughts on what talent is.
